Many HR professionals have a packaged response to the ridiculous and condescending question “So, what do you do all day?”

That response usually entails some generalized amalgamation of helping employees achieve professional goals and manage their healthcare, finding talent, and troubleshooting everything from an outdated printer to interpersonal disputes in the accounting department.

It’s a misunderstood profession that, like all misunderstood professions, has created its own subculture built on a cloistered understanding of each other that no one from the general public is able to provide. 

That is why we appreciate this ad campaign by HR startup Gusto featured in this article by Adweek’s Patrick Coffee. In a profession often veiled by the fog of unfathomable multitasking, this campaign breaks down the chaos that HR professionals have come to know as normal work life.
